The story

Premium herbal supplements for modern health.

DailyNutra was founded by Joey Shepp in 2014 with a mission to combine the wisdom of traditional herbal medicine with the rigor of modern science. The brand set out to create smart supplements that were effective, safe, and aligned with values of ecological responsibility. In 2017, Joey was joined by co-founder and business partner Dean Halpern, who led operations and logistics, complementing Joey’s creative, marketing, and leadership strengths.

Mission

The vision behind DailyNutra was simple: to provide supplements of the highest quality, made from standardized herbal extracts, crafted with organic ingredients, and packaged sustainably. Unlike many supplement companies that relied on generic formulations or unverified sources, DailyNutra prioritized transparency, science-based evidence, and ecological responsibility.

This commitment to quality and values helped DailyNutra quickly rise as a trusted brand in the crowded supplements marketplace.

Accomplishments

Over a decade of operation, DailyNutra achieved significant milestones:

  • Generated $10M+ in revenue across a 10-year period.
  • Developed and launched more than 20 unique products.
  • Achieved top-category seller status on Amazon in multiple supplement categories.
  • Recognized for sustainable packaging practices and commitment to organic ingredients.
  • Earned customer trust by using standardized herbal extracts, the most premium type of supplement ingredient, ensuring consistency and potency.

In 2024, DailyNutra was successfully sold to a natural foods brand aggregator. The brand continues to sell today, carrying forward Joey’s original mission, while Joey has since moved on to consulting and research in AI and emerging technologies.

Labels were printed with soy-based inks on biodegradable paper, and operations emphasized reducing carbon impact wherever possible.

Beyond packaging, sustainability extended into ingredient sourcing, with a preference for certified organic farms and standardized extracts, ensuring both ecological and product integrity.
